One of the most popular reasons is that HOAs tend to think is degrades that properties and community when flying a flag. However, while we are on the subject...I have a couple of pet-peeves about those that hang the flag improperly or inappropriately...like a homeowner that hangs it 5' feet off the ground where anyone can touch or run into it...or a wealthy, deep-pocketed business owner that hangs a tiny 4x3 sized cheap flag on a 100 foot mast!
