Trump lost a lot more than Hillary gained with the last change in polling numbers. Showing there is still a very large pool of voters that can be persuaded to switch sides. Many want to vote for a 3rd party, but are afraid that their vote is being thrown away because voting for who you believe in, doesn't keep someone you don't believe in out. Many others don't believe in voting for the lesser evil either. Too many factors. Sure. Look at the polls. The numbers simply don't add up. No one candidate enjoys a plurality and their combined total don't add up to the whole electorate.

Why would anyone still be undecided? I suppose to avoid arguing with the opposition. Think about it. At this point, if someone asks who you're voting for and you have the temerity to answer, you're running the risk of a heated argument. If you're undecided, you'll be set upon with an annoying diatribe of why you shouldn't be undecided, but at least you're not treated like an enemy of the state. This was the election for a cycle to a third party to jump up to the majors but they dropped the ball too? For me, the worse thing this election is how bad the Fourth Estate has revealed themselves to be? While I was aware they were corrupt and mainly Leftist...I had no idea it had sunk so low? First, let me start by saying I am a registered Republican. I would say that I am fairly open minded and willing to listen to other ideas and thoughts around most topics and platforms. But here is my issue with this year's Presidential Election.

In years past, the debates were about how Candidate Red's platform and policy ideas were better than Candidate Blue and visa versa. There was a clear understanding of where each person sat on different topics; topics that shape how American votes. However, this year, the debates feel more like a divorced couple fighting rather than two people sharing with the voting public how they will address the many issues impacting this country. Sure, there is talk about walls going up, lowering taxes, taking the fight to the enemy's country (oh wait we been doing that for 15+ years) but that isn't what they are debating. Rather, the debates circle around claims of sexual assault, deleting emails, tax filings, and many other things that do not really matter. Rather than talking their policies, the water cooler talk is more about who wore what color and handshakes.

So, yes I am undecided. I am not sure when I will know. I just hope that with all this back and forth, "lesser of two evils" talk going around that Americans of age turn out to the polls and vote based on who they feel will better further the ideas they feel are best for the country. I have decided. I have decided that it is more important than ever for me not to vote for the President of the United States. It is my job to defend the constitution. More than ever, I am concerned that if I voted for one or the other that I would be conflicted in the coming years. I must be concerned with implementing programs and leading Soldiers in a way that is effective and efficient in a time of limited resources while being expected to do more with less by those who understand very little about the tactics and equipment required to do so. But...that isn't their job. Their job is to create strategy at the national level which maintains or improves the interest of our country. They have to make hard decisions day in and day out. That's why I don't spend time winging on about good or bad decisions (in my meaningless opinion) from President Obama. The President has to balance our national interests in a volatile, uncertain, chaotic and ambiguous environment with both state and non-state actors competing as they try to attain their own interests. The next President is going to have to do all that as well as address the internal conflicts and issues in our country. I can't be conflicted with those decisions or wedded to them. I have a very small job to do with life or death ramifications. I've decided to focus on those things for the next few years.
