The VA is good for routine care and are generally more aware and familiar with veteran specific problems (agent orange, camlej water). I go out into Medicare and Tricare when something major comes up...heart surgery, kidney cancer and things like that that our VA has residents working under a supervising surgeon. Nothing against residents, but I just prefer someone who has been around the block at least half the times I have.Response by LtCol Robert Quinter made Sep 1 at 2017 9:26 PM2017-09-01T21:26:11-04:002017-09-01T21:26:11-04:00SFC Jerry Humphries2886139<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I use my employers insurance and Tricare, I don't have patience for the VA.Response by SFC Jerry Humphries made Sep 1 at 2017 10:16 PM2017-09-01T22:16:04-04:002017-09-01T22:16:04-04:00SFC Christopher Taggart2886149<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m not “old” enough, or “broke” enough to use Medicare. Currently, I can’t afford healthcare insurance and the monthly cost of Trumpcare (formally Obamacare) would have been more than my current monthly mortgage payment. I currently use the VA and so far, no major issues. My answer is no.Response by SFC Christopher Taggart made Sep 1 at 2017 10:23 PM2017-09-01T22:23:36-04:002017-09-01T22:23:36-04:002017-09-01T17:38:36-04:00
