05H20 - Ft. Devens, MA trained - 1969-1970 (US Army Security Agency) - Lightning Fast Chicken ....ers! Served at Ft. Clayton, Panama Canal Zone in the high speed code seat covering Columbian network. Then I served a year at the 7th RRFS in Udorn, Thailand till 1972 when they cut me loose out of a 4 year enlistment as Vietnam was winding down and switching to an 'all volunteer Army."

I was an O5H then unfortunately switched to 98H then 98G then 98Y. I lost count after that. They should have left us alone as they can see now that Morse Interceptors are important! The way they train Morse Interceptors today sucks and is a slap in the face for those that stuck through the training at Ft. Devans Massachusetts!

Graduated Devens in 1980. Went on to ECM school there & then to Vint Hill. They immediately sent me to TDY to Augsburg for 2 months. A yeas later I went TDY again to Meade & then elsewhere in civvies. I did two years at VHFS & then went to Field Station Berlin. The only TDY I did worthwhile was SSD school at RAF Chicksands, UK. Loved it there. I did 3 years in Berlin & then a year & a half at Ft. Lewis, WA in a CEWI battalion. I then did 4-1/2 years at Kunia, Hawaii & finished up active duty at Ft. Meade. I got out in 92 & went in the Guard as a 96B intel analyst in an FA unit. In 2004-2005 we went to Iraq but as combat MPs, not FA. My last assignment in the Guard was I was the platoon SGT for the CI/HUMINT platoon. Funny how I went from being a hawg to running Tier 1 missions in Iraq. Now they tell me my one ear has hearing loss from copying too much code & the other from too many firefights & explosions.
