CPT Private RallyPoint Member - Captain; I suspect that the answer to the first half of your question would depend on the definition of "supporter" and that a large portion of the responses to the second half would consist of variations on "Well, considering what we chose from, and considering that we HAVE to chose one or the other, it's better to be buried up to your chin in shit than it is to be buried up to your nose in shit.".

I'm campaigning for Hillary but I'm sure anything I say here will not change anyone's mind. I'm retired Military and have been working in the Military Information Community for 21 years. I can look up Congressional Voting Records and While Republican talk a mean game when it comes to voting they have opposed Veterans at every corner. The Last time the Republicans did anything for Veterans was when Reagan was first Elected he got active duty 13% Pay Raise but it was the first time that a Raise for Active Duty COLA did not give the same raise to the Retired Military that and his tax cuts that year forced him to dig into the Kitty of Social Security which hasn't been repaid. I used to be a Hard Core "Compassionate Conservative" but Republicans Shaking Bob Dole's Hand and then Vetoing the Enhanced ADA Act named for Dole left a very bad taste in my Mouth. The end of my Career was making sure Iraq got nothing in their that could be used as a WMD or Bio-Weapon so I knew that Bush Jr was Full of S**t and the turning of Veteran against Veteran with the Swift Boating of John Kerry was the Last Straw. I'm sill Right of Center to most of my Liberal Friends and Compatriots and using a more International Scale you can say that Hillary is Right on Center. It is just Politics in the US Today that puts her Left of Center like myself.

This election really is like trying to pick the best gold covered turd - both shiny on the outside but still a smelly, nasty mess on the inside.

I would only vote for Hillary because the TO ME Trump is so racist, misogynistic, pompous and arrogant that I don't see what good he could possibly do for our country. And I can not imagine him representing us internationally. I would just hope he doesn't ask a female head of state is she "bleeding from her wherever"...

Hillary is not much better, but at least she hides her faults more convincingly.

Idk if that's a good thing or not...

Ah folks. Be nice. This was an invitation for Hillary supporters to gather and voice their support. It seems that if there are any, the slew of negative responses may have scared them off. Personally, I would have loved to have heard their responses. Seriously. Two at least had the courage to ignore all your negativity and respond and it seems that the consensus is that Hillary isn't Donald Trump. Surely there are other reasons, aren't there? Like I said, I'd like to hear them. And don't worry, I won't respond. Most of you who support Hillary have already "blocked" me so you needn't fear anything I might respond with.

Didn't take long after the pin was pulled. I look at the candidates carefully and talk to a variety of people. My mother is really in the tank for Hillary. She's an example of having an excuse for most everything if there's anything negative talked about regarding Hillary. It's a conspiracy. If it were true, it would be on the news (the one she watches). Typical, attack the woman. She's a life long Democrat that just goes into refusal mode to consider anything else. Bernie is a kook. Huckabee is a bumpkin. You name it, she has a reason for anything. So when it comes to what's good about Hillary, Mom just says she will do a good job. She can't say one thing she was successful in. So come election day, there's one sure vote for Hillary.

Being in the tank has its consequences. Back in the day when voting machines had large party line levers, our Italian neighbor , who prided himself a bigot, always pulled the Dem lever. When he stopped by, my dad was ready to school him on voting. "Harold, you do know Mervyn Dymally is black." I watched the blood drain from his face as he took off to the polling station to see if he could change his vote. So this episode taught a preteen how strong bigotry could be and what later turned out to be described as "don't confuse me with the facts" can do to poison the well.

I am not a Hillary Clinton supporter but I will gladly vote for her over Donald Trump. The reason is rather simple. Donald Trump is unqualified to president. He lacks the temperament.

I do not support her because of her name, nor because of her gender. I do support her because she is the person closest to my own ideologies with any chance of being elected.
I support her on equal pay.
I support her on education.
I support her on gun issues. (no, she is not trying to take guns away from lawful owners)
I support her on tax issues.

I do wish she was stronger against Wall Street and big banks.

I am a progressive. As long as the choice is between a conservative and a progressive, I will vote for the latter.

I tend to lean for Hillary; however, if she wins and the republicans maintain control of the house and senate it will be more of they same do nothing s..t they been doing for the last 8 years. A pouting Republican Party that does not like the fact a minority and democrat will be again the White House.

There are years of statements the GOP backing the do nothing from the day Obama was elected!!
