I'm looking to go to college at Iowa and I'm looking for any IT related employment opportunities in the area so I can work (preferably part time) and pay my bills while going to school (preferably full time). I'm okay with full or part time positions as long as it is close enough to go to school if I have to physically go to class. I appreciate any and all help. Are there any employment-related opportunities around Iowa City?2017-12-09T03:03:25-05:00Sgt Private RallyPoint Member3157170<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I'll cut to the chase. Biggest employers are the VA hospital and the Uof I hospital- I’m sure they can fit a flexible schedule to match your classes and would be your best bet of job availability. Its a small town and other different opportunities will pop up once you make some connections. I personally worked at the Union Bar until I got an ROTC scholarship. Good luck!Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 9 at 2017 4:57 AM2017-12-09T04:57:42-05:002017-12-09T04:57:42-05:001LT Private RallyPoint Member3734390<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I also went to Iowa where I graduated two years ago and worked at the Union Bar MAJ. As for you SGT, I suggest the trying out University of Iowa Information Technology Services that is located at the Old Capital Mall. Its staffed by full-time students and you could work there part time. Plus, it's located right next to where a majority of your classes will likely be at.Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 22 at 2018 6:36 PM2018-06-22T18:36:57-04:002018-06-22T18:36:57-04:002017-12-09T03:03:25-05:00
