Are there any active duty spots in the MA National Guard? I am struggling with finding a Job in the Civilian sector any lead will help

You will have to first become a traditional M-Day member of that state guard and then apply for vacant AGR/Tech positions as they become open, following that state's selection process. WARNING: these vacancies typically are awarded under the 'buddy system.' It's not so much what you know or how good you are but who you know. There are some exceptions but 12 years with the guard, this has been my experience.

Here is a website with the various position that are open. I am just going to warn you that there are few positions, if any, that are available to a PV2. I ran into the same situation when I was a 2LT. I was on ADOS when I was Enlisted but it was when I was a SGT and SSG. The only positions that were open to lower enlisted were for Recruiter Assistant. Even those are hard to come by now due to funding being so low. I just want to emphasis that looking for ADOS is not ideal when you are lacking in civilian employment due to the time it takes. I am on ADOS again for my third time but you either have to be one of the few that are qualified for a position or you know someone. Even then it will take some time.

Go to thenationsfirst website, available jobs. They depend on your rank and mos. Most available are for NCO's. Also try usajobs. Where in MA are you, maybe I can help you out.

When I was between jobs, I did the honor guard as a M-Day soldier and while they pay isn't great, it pays the bills. Also the you learn a lot and meet a lot of people through the honor guard. Id give that a go.

Isaiah, go to USAJOBS.Com. You'll be able to register, provide an on-line resume (which is automatically appended to any job opening you click on) and have access to "EVERY FEDERAL JOB THAT IS AVAILABLE WORLD WIDE." Take your time with the resume...it's worth the extra effort. For every job you apply for, be certain to take any applicable portion of your online job resume and "put that at the top first" - A lot of Government and Civilian businesses have computers that scan the top portion of a resume and cull out those that don't have the "job related verbiage" shown in that scan. For example, if you're applying for an accounting position, ensure you put all such experience and positions in the initial sentences of your resume: Accounting degree, two years of accounting, math major, Finance clerk...I think you get the picture. As a pv2 you could find ADOS but no way you would get AGR not being an NCO
