Black beret is worn for ceremony type stuff. Decided it was better for regular Army to be just that instead of trying to be like the smaller beret wearing types.Response by SFC Marc W. made Aug 21 at 2019 3:21 PM2019-08-21T15:21:48-04:002019-08-21T15:21:48-04:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member4941486<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I may be the only one who didn't mind the beret. Its maybe the only piece of head gear I've seen you can't get away with wearing wrong or improperly. The PC is far more practical for sure, yet the beret needed to shaped and maintained instead of thrown on like a baseball cap or oversized. <br />I wear mine for our dine-out ceremonies or military funerals. That's about it.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 21 at 2019 7:13 PM2019-08-21T19:13:10-04:002019-08-21T19:13:10-04:00SSG Laurie Mullen4942624<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I hated that damned thing. I wouldn't have minded if it was used just for the Class A or Class B uniforms, but for everyday wear it didn't make sense.Response by SSG Laurie Mullen made Aug 22 at 2019 12:16 AM2019-08-22T00:16:49-04:002019-08-22T00:16:49-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member4942938<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Because it’s dumb, not practical, and quite possibly the 2nd worst headgear in the Army.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 22 at 2019 4:34 AM2019-08-22T04:34:03-04:002019-08-22T04:34:03-04:00SPC Brent Melton4943464<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It was an ok piece of the uniform to wear, but should have stayed with those who earned them. The PC or boonie was so much better though.Response by SPC Brent Melton made Aug 22 at 2019 8:17 AM2019-08-22T08:17:53-04:002019-08-22T08:17:53-04:002019-08-21T14:42:34-04:00
