I don't expect it. Why should I? I simply served as I believe every able-bodied citizen should. Maybe we should turn this question around. Should we dishonor able-bodied citizens who don't serve? No, I don't think so either. However, I hope they don't expect me to honor and respect them... Not sure there is any way they 'should' be honoring me? I am who I am and if they think something about me is honorable to them, then they may feel it worthy of their time to show me honor, or vice versa. Of course I am retired and would not allow someone to be disrespectful toward me while I was serving...still...but I think that is a different question.
