Are hearing aids authorized for a flight physical?

I'm considering reclassing to a 15W. However I have a hearing profile, H3. What is the classification for flight physical for a 15W and are hearing aids authorized for that portion of the hearing exam.

15W allows a 222221 PULHES so you should be fine. The bigger issue is that a flight physical can take months to get and you need to submit it with your MAR2 in order to get it.
When you submit your MAR2 you can list up to 10 jobs

No. Hearing aids are not allowed. According the AR you need to meet these minimum standards for hearing unaided:
Hz 500 1000 2000 3000 4000 6000
Class 3 25db 25db 25db 35db 55db 65db

Go have a look at your last audiogram and if you your score for each ear is at least this good, you're good to go. If you're close, you might be able to apply for a waiver. It's worth a shot.

I was reclassed to a 15w after going to a MRB. But it was a nightmare every year when it came to the flight vehicle.
