Are Covid vaccinations mandatory "To Preserve The Fighting Strength"?

When I was active duty, I had to get all the mandatory vaccinations- heck, I was a medic- I gave thousands of vaccinations. Even in AIT it is was driven home more troops died from disease than bullets. If the military (which determines by need and advantage) a vaccine is necessary, than why would any object to Covid vaccination?

Because legally the DOD can't require troops to get the vaccine (without high level exceptions to policy) until the vaccine is fully approved. Plus people don't like being told what's best for them.

But in a bit it will be approved and it will be mandatory for everyone in the DOD

Because DOD can't force it until it's fully approved by the FDA and powers that be.

As a side note, hope everyone enjoys their umpteenth anthrax shot because they lost your records, etc etc.

Not mandatory, but definitely the smart thing to do in my opinion. Given the statistics at this point, I can't really see much of a valid reason to object.

I sure hope they don't use that as an excuse to vaccinate all of you in the service of your country. I think you can refuse if you want to and seeing as there isn't a huge mortality rate....less than 0.0084 I would guess they wouldn't make you. Good Luck!
