Are both 68C AIT phases at Ft. Sam Houston now?

I just checked on the GoArmy page and states that AIT consists of 52 weeks at training at Ft. Sam Houston. I could have sworn that the AIT was broken into 2 phases with 10 weeks at Ft. Sam and the other 42 weeks at one of the 5 locations? Is it all at Ft. Sam now?

GoArmy is a recruiting page, not a valid resource. The phase 2 portion is still conducted at different locations.

Ft. Sam is one of the Phase II sites along with Madigan (Lewis), Walter Reed, Bliss, and possibly Tripler. So, while it’s possible to do Phase I and Phase II at Ft. Sam, you’ll more than likely go to a different Phase II site depending on how your class is slotted.

Yes you may get assigned to bamc hospital at fort sam Houston after initial training. I am here at fort sam Houston quite frequently interact with Charlie's my friend got placed into bamc while another got Walter Reed. Please let me know if you have any questions I can check with Charlie's.

So it all depends SGT, because Ft. Sam does count as one of those 5 locations. You do complete the 1st phase there and then depending on what class cycle you fall in will determine your phase two site and it counts as a PCS Move, even if you stay in Ft. Sam. I did all of it there and I honestly learned a great deal just because of all the services and different demographics BAMC has to offer.

Phase two sites include Ft Sam, Walter Reed, Fort Bliss, Fort Gordon, and JBLM. Your phase 2 site all depends on which class you’re slotted in. If my memory is correct, if your class ends in 01 and 06 you’ll be at JBLM. 02 and 07 will be at Gordon. 03 and 08 will be at Bliss. 04 and 09 will be at Walter Reed. 05 and 10 will be at JBLM. It’s a long course but well worth it in the end. Study hard and best of luck!
