Anyone with The RES, 2CR?

Just looking for anyone who is with the RES, I'll be there within the month and am looking for any information pertaining to the engineer troops.

Didn't work directly with the engineer troop while I was with 2CR but had plenty of friends who were there SSG Private RallyPoint Member. I can tell you about 2CR though. Like most places you will have plenty of time to take in the sights of Germany and Europe while on the job. (talking about field time, but that's to be expected). Usually if the training schedule permits it, the regiment does have 1 4 day weekend a month which is a great opportunity to get out and travel around Europe and see it, if you have never been. This time of the year is perfect to arrive as you're right in Oktoberfest season. While going to the major cities and seeing the festivals is an experience, I'd also suggest hitting all the small town festivals as well. Great times to be had. (not just single soldier fun. Lots to do for families) Living in Europe I'd also recommend getting to the many Christmas festivals as well, amazing unique food and drinks to enjoy.
