It seems it’s very translatable to civilian jobs but is it hard or what field would it be? Anyone knows a 25B? What do they study and do? Mostly dealing with layer 1 (physical) and application/operating system problems. You may also install new operating systems on workstations, re-image using Ghostcast servers/ Microsoft Deployment Tools, asset tracking, Information awareness tracking, and tactical network setup for that particular units system (TACLAN, CPOF, SDN systems, SNAPS, LINCE, and countless others).

You can specialize in networking/satellite communications/cable installation, IT management and others. Ultimately it depends on the unit your in and what their mission is.

If you want to get free developmental courses SKILLPORT is your best friend. Your unit may also fund you to go to COMPTIA/CISCO/Microsoft classes.

Let me know if you have any additional questions Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 18 at 2018 2:24 PM 2018-03-18T14:24:49-04:00 2018-03-18T14:24:49-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 3465679

This is not a hard AIT. Most people that struggle, struggle because of lack of discipline and poor attitudes. A reflection of the basic training short comings. I degrees
The only thing I would tell you is to register for Skillport Army like previously mentioned. You can use resources like that and YouTube to gain some confidence going forward. It would be good to g to a general understanding of the A+ cert information and OS currently being used. Cisco networking would also be helpful to review. Networking course is what most soldiers found difficult.
Other than that, the course is spoon fed like most MOS AIT. It was a very simple and easy course to graduate. The advice I will give you is once you get settled into your first duty station enroll into a college and start working on your degree. Computer Science, Programming, engineering, coding. Where I was people would just call in with a computer problem and we would fix it. Trust me you'll love it but GET YOUR DEGREE. The civilian world doesn't care about on the job training they want a DEGREE. I mostly did help desk tier work as a 25b and the skills are very transferable to the civilian world. Good luck in basic. Remember to keep motivated and drink water.
