Anyone have surgery for carpal tunnel from the VA or just carpal tunnel in general? How long did it take for you to recover?

I'm going for my consult on the 16th and want to get this done ASAP. I am also in school until Dec. 13 so won't be able to write very well. I just want some input on what to expect. Thank you :)

My mother had that surgery on both hands many moons ago. Her recovery really didnt go to well (mainly because she didnt really follow post op/recovery instructions). But I have known others that recovered quite nicely.

Get it done by a plastic surgeon if possible. Orthopods, while extremely skilled, don't focus as much on scars as plastics guys do. I've seen very bad scar results from this type of surgery, and bad scarring can make things worse...
