MAJ Private RallyPoint Member4212979<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Last two years I have driven on to Pax River Naval Air Station in MD during the Christmas holiday as we spend our time with family there. Last two years when I drove on base the gate guard scanned my card and it came up denied. I was told he would have to keep the card. Both times I said, no, that isn't acceptable and you need to call the watch commander or whoever you need to. Both times I was given my card back and we left. This ID card works on any other military base just fine as I'm active NCARNG and go to Ft. Bragg all the time and was also recently at Ft. Bliss. I use it to check email and access several military and GOV systems weekly. I'm still in, DEERS still has all my info and my families. What is it with this base that makes my card come up denied? Do they use some different system than the rest of the military?Anyone have a valid ID card denied at a Navy Base? What makes my card come up denied?2018-12-16T13:07:08-05:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member4212979<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Last two years I have driven on to Pax River Naval Air Station in MD during the Christmas holiday as we spend our time with family there. It's supposed to be a real time validation but when the system is frequently not working, no response means no entry. Problem is it's not 100% works or 100% doesn't work. It's intermittent and usually doesn't like the same CAC or Retired ID. All I've heard after my wife was sent packing at Bangor, WA was " somebody is still working on it." Same response this year. Lately there's been an internal squabble there that the Pass/ID people are frustrated with the gate people sending folk their way. Pass/ID has to manually look to see your CAC is OK and then give a slip to the SM. Yeh, they then let the SM thgrough the gate but take the slip. Sunny Point Army Terminal across the river from Fort Fisher (USAF Fort Fisher, not CSA Fort Fisher) is like that. Next time you down there for school, try it.
