Anyone ever heard of a Reverse Pass Request? Where can I find the regulation (Army)?

I’m currently on a CONUS deployment. My reverse pass was denied because my s/o is not my spouse or family. Is this per regulation?

Chapter 7, AR 600-8-10 covers passes. There's literally nothing about a "reverse pass" within that chapter or the AR. Where did you hear about a "reverse pass?" Are you talking about emergency leave?

The chapter covers regular passes, special passes, pass extension, Armed Forces Liberty Pass. Literally no mention of "reverse pass."

You will need to clarify your situation and perhaps we can guide you in the right direction. I can't even find anything when I search "National Guard reverse pass" or anything similar to it.

So, your Commander implemented a local policy to give Soldiers some time off with their spouses and you're upset because it doesn't apply to you because you aren't married? Take it up with your Commander then. But, as long as it isn't illegal, unethical, or immoral, your Commander has wide latitude to establish and conduct morale incentives as he sees fit.

Commanders have discretion when it comes to leave and liberty. The reverse pass seems to be something of the Commanders own creation. There are similar conditions imposed on Troops stationed OCONUS or other situations that require elevated security requirements. Marines in Okinawa have constantly evolving liberty rules. While on Embassy duty we had everything to curfews to one instance where a Commander required us to sign a letter of understanding that we wouldn't have more than one alcoholic drink an hour. I have also been to places where liberty required liberty partners. I'm guessing something in the past happened that put the Commander in the position where they created this reverse pass system as a solution.
