Going down is the hardest part. Altitude got to me a bit. Dinner at the Station 8 was good, not so much coming up. <br />Definitely true on the climbing it twice being a fool. Guess I'll be a fool next summer.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 16 at 2014 11:22 PM2014-12-16T23:22:28-05:002014-12-16T23:22:28-05:00SrA Andrea West373654<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I went with a group but didn't make it to the top. Yes, being covered with a lot of lava, going down was very tiring but much faster than climbing up. We climbed as far as we could during the night with a flashlight focused ahead then the last person climbed up while someone else held their flashlight, lighting a path. We were tired on the train going back home.Response by SGT James Hastings made Oct 2 at 2015 9:56 AM2015-10-02T09:56:36-04:002015-10-02T09:56:36-04:00MSgt Daniel Attilio1070192<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I passed on the opportunity to climb Mt. Fuji while on my first deployment. I had much better things to do (as I thought then) and my priorities were Tokyo - Roppongi!<br />Subsequent deployments, the mountain was not open for climbing, it was the off season.<br />Thus to right the wrongs the wife and I are planning a trip there in couple years time once both of us are done with school and after I get a job.Response by MSgt Daniel Attilio made Oct 27 at 2015 7:35 PM2015-10-27T19:35:39-04:002015-10-27T19:35:39-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member1073128<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes.
