Anyone else dropping social media accounts? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/anyone-else-dropping-social-media-accounts <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Anyone else dropping social media accounts due to the recent data mining and privacy concerns? For me, the risk/benefit ratio is leaning away from benefit. While I enjoy connecting with people I know/knew on Facebook, I don&#39;t like how much info they gather about me and my activities. While Facebook may be focused on how to turn my info into an advertising revenue stream, I&#39;m not sure others that may have access or gain access through nefarious means are so well meaning. Smart phones track you. If you have a fire stick on your tv it listens to you. Your home computer tracks your location and everything you look at. Cars track mileage. You could make a long list of the products that violate ones privacy. Always been nervous of their true intentions due to the immaturity and naivete of their CEO........who in my view is far less developed between the ears than Donald Trump. (I suspect due to their mining algorithms) So, I did what any smart red blooded American would do. I filled my profile info with the most far fetched BS I could think of and saved it all for them.
