At that time there was about five different clubs on the base, medics had a club, airmen had a club, etc. Beer was cold and cheap and the weather was great although sometimes the monsoon rains kick in. There was actually a really good Chinese restaurant in Comayaga (nearest city). The capital city (Tegucigalpa) was about thirty miles away but be careful there-lots of crime. Anywhere in Central America always travel with a Battle Buddy or posse. Ask about Bimbo Bingo when you get there.Response by CPT Andrew Wright made Feb 6 at 2017 7:08 PM2017-02-06T19:08:19-05:002017-02-06T19:08:19-05:001stSgt Eugene Harless2318339<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I went in November of 1983.
