Anybody have experience with solar shingles?

After the last few storms, snow and wind, we are needing to replace our roof. Anybody know anybody with solar shingles. I don’t think the home association will approve solar panels. Tesla has come out with some but I hear there is a long wait list. I have see that there are other shingle options.

Tesla is in some trouble right now so their vaunted solar shingles could fall by the wayside. I would be very excited to see these on the market and be an affordable option to steel or even asphalt!

I am only aware of Tesla's solar shingles. I understand they pay off greatly in the long run. I'm not sure if the other options would be able to also tie into Tesla's home battery option(powerwall) as well.

Also to hell with HOA's.
