Anybody going to Sturgis, SD, for the 75th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally?

I'll be there with friends and family. It will be our first time for the Sturgis Rally. Been there before, but not during the rally. Very scenic and beautiful vacation destiny for Americans. A lot of American History, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and much more. We will be staying at Ellsworth AFB RV Park, very affordable for those living on a budget. Hope to see ya'll, at least on RP. Ride Safe and Have Fun.

1SG David Lopez I'll be riding my 2015 CVO Road Glide Ultra all the way from Oceanside, CA to the 75th Annual Sturgis Rally. This will be my fourth time at the Rally. I made the 70th anniversary and then a few in between. I'll be up there in the beginning from August 1 to August 6 and then heading back across SD and WY through Cody and Jackson Hole. Been there Rapid City back then the early to middle 90s. Back then we had 4 det in the state. The ralley is a blast!

missed one or 2 options....no, not going and have already been! I went in 2007. It was fun. Enjoyed that area even more with family NOT during the rally. Of course, the roads are great for bikes, so would not mind going back again, but not during the rally. Lots of people to watch, but just too many people for me. Hope you have a great time!!!

Bikers, officials say this year's 75th Sturgis rally is huge ...

STURGIS, S.D. — It will take some time and tallying before official attendance numbers for the 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally are in, but bikers and officials who've packed the small Black Hills town in western South Dakota say it's one of the largest rallies they've ever seen.

Attendance projections for this year's rally, which runs through Sunday, breached 1 million people — which would be a huge jump from the current record, an estimated 633,000 people who flooded Sturgis at the 60th rally in 2000. State and local officials have reported indications that this year is outsized, including heavier traffic, higher vehicle counts and more fatal accidents.

Sturgis police Chief Jim Bush, who has worked nearly 40 rallies in the town of roughly 6,900, said he can see that Sturgis and the surrounding area are bustling with more visitors than usual.

1SG David Lopez and TSgt David L. Sorry I missed you guys at Sturgis this year, but 1ST David Lopez had a great time. I saw his posts every day on Facebook and I think he saw mine each day. I have been there so many times that I didn't hit every little spot this time around, but we had a great time. Here are some pictures from the trip. Next year we'll meet up for sure - promise.
