Remember it was off limits back in the day as SMs were typically rolled within an hour after getting there. So we hung out and drank beer at the Body Shop on Rosecrans.

lats just say... do not buy the green.there will be a cop watching just to take you to the atm. they know you would rather give them money than get arrested and deal with the Navy. when one of my buddies was being nice to a prostitute upstairs,we where down stairs with her pimp waiting for him to be done. when some crazed man ran up to the pimp and jabbered something and ran away real quick. after he was gone we asked the pimp what he said. the pimp replied..." Can I rob these guys,or stick these guys." Ha... good thing the pimp told him no. WTF! Be careful in Tijuana newbies...!

Not sure I want to comment might go to jail...although I think there may be a statute of limitations on it

It was off technically off limits for us, but one of the guys in my platoon got arrested for fighting in TJ and my gunny had to go down and bribe the police to release him.

Oh and one of the guys I knew got stabbed going over the TJ bridge trying to make it back to formation on the ship in an attempted robbery. He gets stabbed comes on the ship and stands in formation with the stab wound.

A buddy of mine got married in San Diego, got drunk they went into Tijuana, never returned. Scuttlebutt was they were killed. Don't know if that's true or not, however that dude was never heard from again.
