Admins have the ability to do this. We do this to enable an easier search function and a few other reasons. I have been here for several years as have some of the other senior Admins. We do appreciate your feedback but we try to maintain a sense of order here. By this we have seen some tremendous growth on the site.

One was re written. Two were merged with other posts. one was removed....said it was exactly like another post.

When I post...I wait to see if the "similar" posts show something similar and if there is not one, I go ahead and post it.

I've had one where they changed and or added to the title and or "topics."

I don't know about "Re-Written" but as an active Social Media Activist I wouldn't be Surprised my Personal Accts on FB, Twitter, Google + and Pinterest. each have about 1,000 followers and friends. I am Host of Liberal Soldiers Sailors Airman and Marines, Liberal Constitutional Patriots and Liberals for Prosperity. I assisted in the Formation of the FB White Rose Society and am an Honorary Member of the Rainbow Rose Society for Outspoken Advocacy for the LGBT Community. I suspect that I am quoted and misquoted quite often by my allies and my enemies. As an Ex-Hacker/Black Box Man/Capt'n Cruncher I am an Honorary Member of the Goat Squad and get invited to all the "Goatings".

If/when it clarifies, I usually don't mind, but I have had one changed that took away from the main point of the post/question. While I do appreciate clarification, unless the one changing it converses with the one submitting it, then it all becomes subjective only to the person changing it. But this was to the point where I wouldn't comment on "my own" posts because the answers/responses being received were not from the direction of my original unchanged post/question. By the time you are notified that you can "speak" to someone about it, it's usually too late as the responses have already begun. Personally, I would rather have admin delete my intended post, contact me and tell me why, than to change my meaning altogether without asking me what it is I meant and giving me their POV instead. HAVING SAID THIS, understand that this, by no means, is a slam against the admins, as their job is hard enough by the rules and lay out they are given to work with and contact in cases like these are difficult at best. I applaud and appreciate service they provide to RP, but no one could possibly know my POV or thought process that may be confusing unless they took the time to ask me. And, of course, there are those obvious ones... LOL!

There have been a couple of examples recently where the content was indecent (cursing and such). Sometimes the topic isn't phased in the form of a question.
In short, it comes down to keeping the site professional and the topics relevant.
