If the heads are good it will save you money. Check the bare block over, magnaflux for cracks. What’s left is the rotating mechanism. That is cheaper than buying a complete engine.
If the engine is no good, look at junkyards. I have bought hi performance engines for the price of a stock engine.Response by GySgt Gary Cordeiro made Nov 25 at 2020 1:35 AM2020-11-25T01:35:09-05:002020-11-25T01:35:09-05:00SPC Nancy Greene6528321

LTC Private RallyPoint Member there is several people here on RP who would be able to provide you information. Last I checked the website does not list any prices. Check out Jasper Engines and Transmissions out of Jasper Indiana. Where you might get killed is on shipping charges!

Why not just sell it as is and let someone else bother with it? Me personally, if I were putting in a new engine it would be because I plan to keep it. You may not be able to recover what it cost to get the overhaul. My $0.02 for what it is worth.Response by Cpl Vic Burk made Nov 26 at 2020 8:37 PM2020-11-26T20:37:46-05:002020-11-26T20:37:46-05:002020-11-25T01:08:05-05:00
