Any future help for the Kiribati Island Nation that is Tarawa and Betio Atoll from sinking into the sea?

I watched a documentary by German Producers explaining how the islands are disappearing due to rising Sea levels.

There are two solutions to the rising water problem on those chunks of land that are mostly just above the low tide level of the oceans. One - move to somewhere that is always out of the water, like Tibet. Two - grow gills. With all the advances in genetics and genetic engineering scientists should be able to develop a workable gill solution sometime in the next couple of hundred years. The problem with this solution is the islands don’t have a couple of hundred years because by then they will all be covered with sea water and be well on their way to becoming reefs. So I guess the solution is pack your bags, boys and girls, because it’s time to hit the road.

Well, you know, the US Military has figured out a way to keep islands from capsizing, so I guess that they could cut it loose and attach flotation devices.
