I am lucky enough to be safe, but how is everyone else faring? Safe, under the gun, scared, not worried? Do you support the programs, or are you against them?<div><br></div><div>Personally, I am hopeful that the ERB is able to separate some of the people who might not be 'problem' airmen, but aren't really worth keeping in the AF for 20+ years.</div>Any comments/concerns about the FY14 Air Force Force Management programs? It is not only the enlisted side, they are looking at the officers as well, no one is safe, and you may also want to consider you may be safe for this round, but they could come up with new requisites if they don't get the right numbers and have to go back to the drawing board for a second or third round of cuts and reductions of force.Response by SFC James Baber made Jan 10 at 2014 9:06 PM2014-01-10T21:06:09-05:002014-01-10T21:06:09-05:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member36097<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My biggest concern for anyone in the Air Force is the manner in which the AF conducts their Force Management programs. I commissioned into the Air Force in 2003 and faced one Force Shaping board and 2 Reduction in Force Boards. I survived all three but still elected to go into the Army because of the consistently poor way I saw the AF manage their personnel, particularly on the officer side.<div><br></div><div>Biggest thing (at least from the officer side when I was in it) is to educate yourself and keep a firm grasp on everything going before the board. I had a chain of command that was trying everything they could to screw me, but I put a lot of time into my Retention Recommendation Form (RRF) and could back everything up with my OPRs. So even though they didn't like me, they couldn't do anything but sign it after I showed it to them. </div>Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 10 at 2014 9:25 PM2014-01-10T21:25:06-05:002014-01-10T21:25:06-05:002014-01-10T21:00:46-05:00
