Any advice for someone who is looking to join the Navy, like what should I know before I go in and what to work on before then? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/any-advice-for-someone-who-is-looking-to-join-the-navy-like-what-should-i-know-before-i-go-in-and-what-to-work-on-before-then <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Thu, 19 Apr 2018 19:01:49 -0400 Any advice for someone who is looking to join the Navy, like what should I know before I go in and what to work on before then? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/any-advice-for-someone-who-is-looking-to-join-the-navy-like-what-should-i-know-before-i-go-in-and-what-to-work-on-before-then <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Marcus Raven Thu, 19 Apr 2018 19:01:49 -0400 2018-04-19T19:01:49-04:00 Response by PO1 Raymond Fochler made Apr 19 at 2018 7:35 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/any-advice-for-someone-who-is-looking-to-join-the-navy-like-what-should-i-know-before-i-go-in-and-what-to-work-on-before-then?n=3559571&urlhash=3559571 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Honestly i would start studying and learn the 11 general orders of a sentry. The navy is more than a job it is its very own culture Steeped in traditions. The more you know about the navy and its customs the better off you will be. Learn the navy&#39;s ranks and how to address non commissioned officers as well as commissioned ones. Understand that once your at RTC Great Lakes your mom will not be there with you. Listen carefully to all instructions and perform what is asked of you. In the submarine service we repeat back every command or instruction followed by AYE AYE Petty Officer/Chief/Sir. Prepare to have your butt kicked on a daily basis the first 6-8 weeks. Many jobs that have cool sounding titles are not what you would think. From what I&#39;ve heard, you want to stay the fuck away from subs. Recruiters are essentially used car salesmen.
