I just attended last week, the closest I have had was my 16 yr old 2nd cousin the last day I was in Afghanistan. That was 2012 and a shocker for sure.

He reached out to others, but his parents were blind and did not see the pattern, however, his friends and facebook post clearly showed the possibility and stresses.

All I can say is that I hope you do not have anymore so close, it is tough on those who remain behind and who keep asking themselves....why?Response by CW5 Sam R. I am incredibly sorry for your and his family's loss.

It is so important; strike that **IMPERITIVE** for people to reach out for help and seek out the tranquility that he/she/they so desperately need.

We, as Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsman, h*ll, as HUMANS, have to stay connected to each other. Possibly make a difference to someone weighing that terrible decision that day. A simple smile and a quick "How are you? You look sad/preoccupied/upset/like you could use a walk or talk..." can make all the difference. Possibly save a life. Put down the smartphones and take an interest in the people around you. :)Response by CMSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 19 at 2014 2:01 PM2014-09-19T14:01:10-04:002014-09-19T14:01:10-04:002014-07-10T06:50:27-04:00
