Deadly Shooting Reported on University Campus in Arizona

A deadly shooting occurred on Northern Arizona University’s Flagstaff campus early this morning, a university spokesperson said.

It is not normal and should not be accepted as normal. The main problem (my thoughts) is the breakdown of the family system (many broken homes and the homes that aren't broken have many children being raised in front of a gaming console), I do not subscribe to the theory of a village raising your kid.....you are the parent and with that comes parental damned responsibilities! Quit blaming everyone and take responsibility, let the blame lay where it belongs - and it starts with the family!

Well you can scream gun control if you want! Until we do something to stop the criminals it won't stop. You start putting this people in the chair and show them that it isn't a free ride to go to jail. Hell they got Libraries, computers, 3 meals a day TV, better medical than most people have and roof over there heads!
Also till we say no GUN FREE zones. They hit people where they know that people have no way to defend themselves! Am I saying that everyone needs a gun, NO but the responsible people that can should. Also put more police on the ground. Does that campus have a police department. I know that some do and they are out patrolling the campuses.

The root of most of this violence is mental illness. It now an issue that must be addressed in order to prevent mass violence such as this.

I cringe when I hear this kind of thing. Guns and an 18yo at 0120 can't be a good thing. Was alcohol a factor? I guess we'll find out. Can't be good though. It's very sad that folks died in another senseless shooting.

SFC Michael Hasbun I don't think that it matters what I think, nothing will be done anyway. Just hope that you or yours aren't victims at the food store, theatre, school or wherever your daily lives take you.

SFC Michael Hasbun, I just heard on the local news there was another campus shooting at TCU. I wonder if some of these are copy cats which have popped up, after a mass shooting? It's not safe anywhere. I take my pistol to the movies and restaurants.

There was an interview a few days ago where Dr. Carson, in my opinion.. hit the nail on the head. These are happing in "gun free zones". Has there been a mass shooting in a Police Station? There needs to be some control measure put in place to keep our citizens and children safe.

This one sounds like it was the direct result of a confrontation rather than a spree/random shooting. Still not good, but yeah, I read in one of the reports that we've "only" experienced 400 shootings this year that involved 4 or more victims. Only? What the hell?

If I'm not mistaken, isn't an 18 year old person a "prohibited possessor" of a firearm to begin with, or can they just not purchase a handgun?

Either way, I do not think that the upcoming liberal cries of "more gun control!!!" will solve anything. If anything it will make things worse!

I tend to believe that a non sanctioned government agency is manipulating suicidal individuals and beginning to have more success in their endeavors for political purposes. Makes as much sense as blaming parents for not knowing what their kids are doing, and taking God out of the country. As far as I can tell God is still available for those who want him, and is not allowed in public schools, work locations that have cry baby atheists and government buildings but I think you still put your hand on a bible to swear you won't commit perjury. If I remember correctly most of us have done things as kids our parents never knew and most likely still don't, and their parent's too. I do believe that those reasons can contribute to more kids being available for government manipulation of on the border crazy people as more n more people are on prescription drugs... big business too that prescription drug, more profitable than street drugs. You saw government mind control in the movies in the past and still see it in the new movies ... and what's in the movies is a window to the future .. Well so I've heard
