I get that a lot of people here don't like the President, his policies, or the way he does things but as we tell our troops if you are constantly talking about something or someone you can't affect, then you are whining. After over 7 years of the nitpicking and fault finding, can we get over ourselves?

MAJ Private RallyPoint Member I think this is just yet another stop on his apology tour.

After having witnessed weekly anti-nuclear demonstrations and huge annual "Hiroshima Day" demonstrations at the nuclear weapons facilities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee (where the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima was built), for over 10 years, when I was assigned there, one thing that the "counter-protestors" always said strikes me as being true: "If there had not been a Pearl Harbor, there would not have been a Hiroshima".

We have nothing to apologize for...

Vacation? WTF? They are talking about president Obama possibly visiting while he is in Japan for the G7 summit meeting next month, not making a special trip to visit the memorial. And no one is talking about him apologizing for anything. They're talking about him continuing his push for stopping the spread of nuclear weapons and reducing existing arsenals. Does anyone, other than Trump who said he thinks Japan and S. Korea may need to get nukes, think that reducing the spread of nukes or the possibility that nukes will be used in the future is a bad idea?
