Announcing 'Operation RallyPoint Cares' -- make your unit the first one!

Hi everyone, we're spearheading a special new mission here at RP, called 'Operation RallyPoint Cares'. Its sole purpose is showing troops around the world how much we care about them and honor their service. Phase I is simple: we will send out several hundred personalized care packages (let's say 600-700) to every single person in your unit. RallyPoint will pick up the tab. If you want to put smiles on the faces of everyone in your unit, just email me at: [login to see] and we'll take care of it from there. So, who wants their unit to be the first to go? Cast your vote, and don't forget to email me!

While this is a great idea, has RallyPoint reached out to some other organizations that are already doing this? It might be more beneficial for RallyPoint to team up with with of them for the first go around. RallyPoint can put some information and swag (if you have some) into these boxes that are being sent out and still achieve the same goal while not clogging up the space. Again, it is a great idea and I'll support it since it supports our brothers and sisters-in-arms, just trying to give some other ideas.

CPT Kletzing, outstanding idea, and I am absolutely certain that this will be a resounding success. Theodore Roosevelt said it best when he said "nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care." Operation RALLYPOINT CARES shows just that... so, please count me in; I look forward to seeing the RP community gather together to help a worthy cause and a deserving audience. Again, another great RP idea to help our own... good stuff indeed!

I think this is a great idea which is weird because I didn't think of it. Just to clarify, this is for CONUS Units as well correct? I know a lot of us think care packages and automatically think of deployed or OCUNUS Units.
As a bonus I would like to include 10 of my influence points in each package.

Great idea. I think that this affords an opportunity for 1SGs, CSMs and Leaders at all levels to showcase your units and, on a side note, assist in boosting Operation RallyPoint Cares.

Bring it to the 1st Squadron of the 14th Cavalry Regiment on JBLM. This is a great forum and it's only going to get better with the inclusion of units.

Whoever came up with this idea deserves a medal. Seriously, I'd like to shake his/her hand - this is an outstanding initiative. At the moment, I only have one Soldier deployed, but I'll be sending another out pretty soon as a replacement.

I didn't see this when it was originally posted, but my unit is heading out on a fake deployment to "Atropia." It would be hilarious to get care packages. The obstacle is that we will only be there two weeks and I don't have an address. Oh well, the thought made me laugh.
