Am I supposed to get BAH on leave?

I’ve just got home for Recruiters Assistance and Leave after OSUT. My leave and HRAP put me in a blackout for flights so I got extra leave until my Port Call Date this Saturday.

I noticed I got a few extra hundred dollars on my last paycheck and I checked MyPay and it shows I have gotten $500 in BAH. Is this normal while on leave? I have no dependents and an about to PCS to The ROK.

Only in certain circumstances. For instance, when you are in transit for a certain amount of time - I think two weeks or a month.

SSG Private RallyPoint Member Have a great tour, and tour Korea. Korea could be weekend sightseeing and leave time could give you a short time in Japan.

My photos no longer upload to RP, but I enjoy looking at them. For instance, ‘Nam Sung’ (sp), Mother Mountain, in Seoul. My memory says there are 1000 steps there and we climbed all of them to the summit.

Yes, you’ll receive transit BAH because you’re no longer assigned to a unit occupying a barracks room. Once you sign in, your BAH will stop.
