Am I out of OCS if I provided documents to MEPS about a previous shoulder dislocation and it has now been a month with no response? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/am-i-out-of-ocs-if-i-provided-documents-to-meps-about-a-previous-shoulder-dislocation-and-it-has-now-been-a-month-with-no-response <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I applied to Army OCS after I graduated college back in June 2020. Everything was rolling along smoothly until I went to MEPS for my physical. The issue of my shoulder dislocating back in 2016 came up. Since then I have acquired all the documents that MEPS requested and submitted them. It has almost been a Month with no response, should I start considering myself washed out? Trust me, that wouldn&#39;t completely disqualify you 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 04 Feb 2021 22:50:59 -0500 2021-02-04T22:50:59-05:00 Response by PO2 Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 4 at 2021 11:02 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/am-i-out-of-ocs-if-i-provided-documents-to-meps-about-a-previous-shoulder-dislocation-and-it-has-now-been-a-month-with-no-response?n=6721204&urlhash=6721204 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I wouldn&#39;t worry about. Different story and different brach, but I enlisted in the Navy back in 2013. The issue of my ankle came up because I had a compound fracture in it due to a soccer injury 6 years prior. I had two surgeries on it and had titanium screws in it at one point. It took about 3 months before I was cleared and a waiver was granted; during that time it was silence from my recruiter. Dont be discouraged or consider yourself DQ&#39;d, covid is probably slowing things down as well. If the military wants you—they’ll approve a waiver. I don’t know what the percentage of all successful applicants requiring a waiver is, but it’s a lot. I required a waiver to enlist, a separate issue waiver to commission, and yet another separate issue waiver to get a flying slot. But that’s their job—to find things wrong with you. The recruiters job is to find ways to get you through. So just trust the process. They’ve been doing it for a while. You&#39;ll hear something when you hear something; they won&#39;t just leave you wondering. You&#39;ll eventually get a call saying you&#39;re approved or denied. All depending on the injury and the size of the MED read. If you had a 50 page med read, expect some time to be taken. These things simply just take time. I always so, no news is good news. You haven&#39;t been told no yet, so I wouldn&#39;t worry. If you were already denied, your recruiter would have told you. If you really want to hear something I would call your recruiter. It&#39;s likely you in the pipe at MEPS waiting for review. I know it can be frustrating but just keep at it. 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 09 Feb 2021 16:55:57 -0500 2021-02-09T16:55:57-05:00 2021-02-04T22:36:19-05:00
