Communication Breakdown...
The reason the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines squabble among themselves is that they don't speak the same language. For example, take a simple phrase like, "Secure the building."
• The Army will put guards around the place.
• The Navy will turn out the lights and lock the doors.
• The Air Force will take out a 5-year lease with an option to buy.
• The Marines will kill everybody inside and make it a command post.

Robin,
While true, this has little to do with the squabble among the branches. There would be no sqyabbling if the other services just admitted that the Army was the best and most important. They all realize this, but they just refuse to admit it.

Right. RT. It's the ability for all branches to act and work together that makes the enemy cringe. No one service could get it done alone. Seems to me that the Senior Services logistical ability lets them be able to do what they do for so long. You can hold the line so long, the enemy must leave the field. The other services really can't do that well.

Case & Point, the Senior Service 7th Infantry Division was an Amphibious Division......Not totally mission capable without Naval Support...
