After not showing up on my shipping date, can I now go ahead and ship to BCT, despite being processed for a general discharge by the NG?

Last week, I did not show up on Shipping Date. Now, I am under General Discharge from Army National Guard. Today, I want to joint again. Should it possible to be back?

What justification/excuse do you have for not reporting for your ship date? If you can't ship to your training, why would your unit expect you to report for drill? Your unit doesn't need to fill its slots with dead weight.

No, of course not. You missed your class date, and your ticket. There is no course reservation for you, plus you're being kicked out for not reporting.

You have already proven yourself to be unreliable; why would the Army want to give you a second chance when you couldn't even make it to basic training?

It’s possible but you will have to go to get a waiver of some sort if you are trying to join Army/Army Reserve side. Get with a recruiter and check out your options. Only thing i would keep in mind is... make up your mind and stick with it!

You're not going to get much sympathy here Jason. But to answer your question, I'd suggest you speak directly with a recruiter, because they are most likely the only ones who can give you the answer.

IF by some chance, they waver you in, you damn well better commit thyself wholeheartedly; and if you do, one day you'll want to severely kick yourself for skipping your initial ship date, because you will come to truly understand WHY that was not okay. If not--assuming not--take this as a learning opportunity about being decisive, taking responsibility and honoring commitments.

Besides proving yourself unreliable, proving yourself to be non-trustworthy, and being told you should NOT take this route by countless others here.....do you understand the kind of burn your Recruiter just got for you not showing up?

I am not being mean or anything but just giving advice. When you missed movement or place of duty for something you could control you already dug your own hole. you did not even get to ship for basic and alread fucked up, I can tell yuo the best advice is to go back to the recruiter and ask can you shipout and speak to the CO
