If you were busted for a DUI while active duty, you would have been charged by civilian law and the UCMJ. It's nothing to take lightly. After you enlist. After the Judge agrees. Playing the "I'm joining the military" card to try and get out of any sort of issue speaks of your personal ethics. I hope the recruiter took that contact sheet and feed it to the trash can monster. Don't just think to volunteer your time to the military will get you out of anything. If anything, it will hold you to a higher standard. Chances are it was a LACK OF DISCIPLINE. Now you are talking about what you can say to a person in authority to GET A FREE PASS. Do you belong in the military with this philosophy? Chances are NO.
