The Army may feel like stationing you there after you become MOS-Q. If the orders were cut for another location, you may attend school TDY en route. As in, you final out and have all your household goods picked up at your old duty station, go to school, and then inprocess at your new duty station without returning to the old one. Saves the Army cash.Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 1 at 2014 2:39 PM2014-01-01T14:39:23-05:002014-01-01T14:39:23-05:00SFC James Baber30677<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Have you checked with your local G1, as they have the authority to amend orders at the local level for minor or clerical issues, it is a start, but I would also be getting further guidance along the lines as well for the reason of the roadblock from branch and HRC, seems to be more to the story if it was me.Response by SFC James Baber made Jan 1 at 2014 2:41 PM2014-01-01T14:41:11-05:002014-01-01T14:41:11-05:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member30763<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Are you sure you are reading your orders correctly? You will have PCS orders that authorize TDY en route if you are PCSing immediately following.<div><br></div><div>For example, my orders were for PCS to reclassify to 97E, a four month school at Huachuca.</div><div><br></div><div>The orders are PCS orders but they authorize TDY en route. In this case they were PCS orders to the Defense Language Institute with TDY en route (as opposed to return) to Fort Huachuca for the MOS portion of the training.</div>Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 1 at 2014 4:49 PM2014-01-01T16:49:01-05:002014-01-01T16:49:01-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member30784<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>my orders state "soldier will proceed to pcs to fort Gordon, 73 ord tr BN. to conduct mos training during the following dates. 21 feb report, <div>24 feb class start, 19 june graduation date. dependents authorized for trave" them it goes into travel and housing information. Some soldiers re-classing do bring family and get on post housing. If you press the issue and call the National Guard liaison on FT. Gordon hopefully the SGM will get you a letter also stating that TDY is now authorized. Worked for me.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 4 at 2014 1:41 PM2014-01-04T13:41:30-05:002014-01-04T13:41:30-05:002014-01-01T14:33:20-05:00
