LTC Private RallyPoint Member 94260 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>&lt;p&gt;Since AR 670-1 has come out there is a lot of discussion on what it contains.&amp;nbsp; I would like to start a more general discussion on an issue that a lot of people are confused about apparently.&amp;nbsp; When someone states &quot;You can add to but you can&#39;t take away from a Regulation&quot;...what exactly does that mean?&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;For example, if there is an APFT standard that says you have to do 60 push-ups to pass and a Commander says &quot;I say you have to do 70 to pass.&quot;&amp;nbsp; Is he adding to the Regulation?&amp;nbsp; If you say &quot;no&quot; then logically by default it must mean he is taking&amp;nbsp;away.&amp;nbsp; But does that mean that he can then say &quot;You only have to do 50&amp;nbsp;to pass&quot;?&amp;nbsp; Is he adding now or taking away?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What other examples fit into this gray area?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;How does one determine if a Commander is &quot;adding to&quot; a Regulation&amp;nbsp;or&amp;nbsp;&quot;taking away&quot;?&lt;/p&gt; 2014-04-05T12:17:08-04:00 LTC Private RallyPoint Member 94260
