If not that then one of the other combat arms MOSs. He has to remember that SF really only does small unit stuff so he needs to concentrate on small unit tactics and being a small unit leader.Response by SGM Steve Wettstein made Aug 14 at 2016 6:23 PM2016-08-14T18:23:14-04:002016-08-14T18:23:14-04:00CPT Aaron Kletzing1806505

Your friend should go InfantryResponse by CPT Aaron Kletzing made Aug 14 at 2016 10:46 PM2016-08-14T22:46:38-04:002016-08-14T22:46:38-04:001LT Private RallyPoint Member1807617

Does he want to eventually branch SF or just work with them? What is his source of commissioning? As you might know you can't directly branch neither CA nor SF, so he would have to wait to be a CPT or CPT (P), then attend either of their respective course.

A recent commissioned 2ndLT at my school went SC and got sent with SF.

Some good info: http://www.sorbrecruiting.com/SF_Qualifications.htm

If he's active, he can't pursue the CA route until he's either a 1LT promotable or CPT.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 18 at 2016 3:27 PM2016-08-18T15:27:10-04:002016-08-18T15:27:10-04:002016-08-14T11:45:33-04:00
