If not that then one of the other combat arms MOSs. He has to remember that SF really only does small unit stuff so he needs to concentrate on small unit tactics and being a small unit leader. What is his source of commissioning? As you might know you can't directly branch neither CA nor SF, so he would have to wait to be a CPT or CPT (P), then attend either of their respective course. <br /><br />A recent commissioned 2ndLT at my school went SC and got sent with SF. <br /><br />Some good info: <a target="_blank" href="http://www.sorbrecruiting.com/SF_Qualifications.htm">http://www.sorbrecruiting.com/SF_Qualifications.htm</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d26horl2n8pviu.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/093/319/qrc/NewHeader.png?1471279900"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="http://www.sorbrecruiting.com/SF_Qualifications.htm">SF Qualifications</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 15 at 2016 12:51 PM 2016-08-15T12:51:48-04:00 2016-08-15T12:51:48-04:00 LTC Private RallyPoint Member 1817221 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is he reserves? If he's active, he can't pursue the CA route until he's either a 1LT promotable or CPT.
