I am currently in the Navy as a FMF Corpsman. I have made a solid decision that I want to be an Army Ranger. I had multiple questions and was hoping to talk to a recruiter or knowledgeable individual. The main question is how can obtain a path to being a Ranger, if I can at all?

I am pretty sure you can enlist with Ranger Regiment option but you would have to talk to a career counselor or recruiter about that. It would normally be 11B Infantry MOS but assignment to the Ranger Regiment. Since you are a Corpsman, you might want to look at 68W MOS as well. After your training, you would go to Airborne School and then report to the Regiment (all at Fort Benning). The Regiment will then put you through the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program before assigning you to one of the Battalions. Ranger School would also be in the pipeline since all NCOs and most E4s will go. However, after going through the RASP, you should not have any issues with Ranger School barring any injury.

That sounds like the best thing I've heard yet Sir. Thank you for your help. I'll make plans to talk to a recruiter when I get back.

Not entirely accurate, you may not go to Airborne until after RASP and if you stay a medic you will have to attend Special Operations Combat Medic course at Ft Bragg NC, whole precess can take about a year if straight through.

What kind of physical condition are you in?
The best approach would be first to transfer to the Army and request to be trained as an 11B infantryman. and specifically request to be assigned to a ranger battalion if you are E-4 or below. They will train you and work you very hard. You will need to go through jump school to be airborne qualified.
Prior to being promoted to SGT in a ranger battalion you would need to pass ranger school. Being in a ranger battalion would give you somewhat of a home filed advantage as the ranger school cadre are selected from the ranger battalions and other ranger qualifies soldiers.

Jump school after Infantry OSUT (One Station Unit Training) is very possible. You have to be vetted and recommended for Ranger School before you are selected. Getting assigned to a ranger battalion is the best way to be selected for ranger School.
I haven't been back to Benning since 2008 just before I left the military. I spent many years there from jump school through Infantry basic and advanced courses and commander an OSUT training company in the mid-1980's some things have changed but many have not.
One of my sons was in 3/75 Ranger Battalion for a couple years.

Highly unlikely you would go to jump school straight to Ranger. Considering your lack of experience I would suggest a Pre-Ranger course to get you up to speed. RASP is a lot more than physical ability, just keep that in mind. Get after it bro!

CSM Michael Chavaree - Alright MSG. Is it cool if I message you when I have questions? You've been one of the most helpful thus far. I appreciate it. I want this in a bad sort of way and I'll do whatever it takes.

You know the difference between Ranger school and the Ranger Regiment right? Ranger school is a 61 day leadership course and return to your unit. Ranger Regiment is a Special Operations outfit. Any "Ranger contract" will be for assessment to serve in the Regiment, not the school. Obviously most folks from the Regiment go to Ranger school as ether a requirment for their duty position or because its the right thing to do.
