Well, how else would you expect them to infiltrate the US as a "refugee"? Of course we want terrorists to have passports so they can come here and vote with their actions...

It bothers me, but passports are unfortunately relatively easy to counterfeit. The screening done at entry points needs to be more than looking for a fake.

They don't have to counterfeit them when they have the printing press now. They can manufacture them without worry.

Deal with it on a case by case by basis. Perhaps with .45 ACP, 9mm. Whatever.
