With what words do people respond when you tell them that you served in the military?

THANK YOU, SSG Robert Spina. ALL SHOULD BE VERY PROUD OF THEIR SERVICE.
Thanks for taking the left wingers into consideration for us....so that we don't take their responses personally.

I usually say something along the lines of "in the Air Force". And the comments are usually, "what do you fly"
Depending on the person, I tell them, "I pilot the MHU-83"

Usually when my husband and I are together he starts the topic and tells whom ever we are talking to that I served in the Army too. But because I am a female they usually ignore me and think I am just his spouse. When I tell people myself that I served they don't believe me.

Being as I still serve most of the questions I get after telling people is, "What's your job?" Then once they find out I am weather it's usually followed up with, "Oh cool, what's the weather going to be like at [Insert Location] this weekend?"
Respectfully, I couldn't care less what the weather will be like there this weekend. I ain't at work so I ain't going to forecast for you.

LOL, SrA Matthew Knight.
You become the WEATHER??? :)
And no, SrA Matthew Knight, you are not at work then, so you do not have to "forecast for [them]". ;)
