At Fort Drum, the driver of the vehicle stays in the vehicle while passengers are to get out and salute. In other posts traffic stops. Why the double standard for such a "uniform" military, and on such an important part of our history?

Well if you want to do the Grand Daddy of all Retreats. Go to Washington DC and watch the complete Tattoo Ceremony. A must for all military folks in my book.

Sorry old school, I was born in the Army 1949. As soon as I could stand, retreat I stood at attention and stayed that way till the flag was put away. The same after enlisting except I got to salute. Reveille was the Col or Drill Sgt( mom) singing time to wake up, time to get up

Sits on their behind. You know, what the Soldier at Fort Carson did and got destroyed for it. Granted, she was completely out of line.
