With the election just around the corner and our political parties jockeying for position. How far will they go to manipulate the Veteran vote? How many VA improvements will be made only to be lost months after the election is over? Who will listen to what our veterans needs are, only to dash the hopes of easing those needs when they move into the whitehouse because compromises had to be made? What are your thoughts and opinions? Have you shared these with your Congressman and senator? Why not?

Always has been and always will be. I give a damn what they say. What is their Voting Record. I can read, I can look up the bills on line at the Congressional Web Site and see exactly what they said and how they voted. CBO is pretty reliable and hasn't been completely corrupted. Although you will get a very nuanced break down of the cost of what congress is doing. As Far as My Congressman, Senator, Hell even Governor the "Tea Party" has taken over all in Kansas and they only do what the Koch Brothers tell them to do or say. They have thoroughly destroyed the State of Kansas and trying to do the same to the US. Although I first campaigned for Kevin Yoder I have since made it very clear to him what I think of his Corporate Prostitution.

Since the Veterans & VA have become a huge issue over the last several years, I see the possibility for Veterans being used as pawns significantly high in an effort to get the Veteran votes, however, I don't see any of the promises that will be made, or maybe a minimal amount made, will actually be honored once office is taken based on the progress experienced now with issues we've had 10-20 years ago. Regardless of popular belief, we (Veterans) are not this country's priority or even close... if we were, I believe we would have been treated a lot better and taken care of quite some years ago... Just an opinion...

Well, there hasn't been too many improvements, the republican party has voted down across party lines every vet improve bill for the last two years, while the president has very recently raised pay for active duty and some civies working with the military, he's obviously not running again. I think the "I love vets" statement by those who are running will be pretty hollow as there is no proof any of them love vets as none of them have done anything for vets... well Bernie Sanders voted for the various defeated vet bills but thats really it. Clinton obviously isn't in the senate anymore so she voted for nothing, and all the republicans that are running voted against said bills... and the non politicians running for pres like Trump & Carson have only " I promise I'll do it." to stand on which, they can say anything they want, they have nothing to back it up with.

LCpl Mark Lefler, have you ever looked up your medical issues in 38CFR to see if the level of percentage matches the level of injury/condition? It's broken down by body part and condition.

Get a hold of me through private message and I can give you a hand. I am by no means a vet rep but, I have handled mine and helped with numerous. If I can't give you an answer about anything, I'll find someone who can.
