Seahawks release Nate Boyer, former Green Beret. Have you ever served with someone who had a chance to play professional sports?

Although he didnt make the team, it was still a great story.

Yep, my Flight Commander (Matt Farmer USAFA '00) was on the Practice Squad of the Jets when he was my Flight Commander. Played ball at USAFA, was a walk on for the Jets and was allowed by our CC to play. Great guy. Got out of AD, and became a Pastor.

I wonder if they signed him giving him an honest chance or signed him for the PR.

PO2 Corey Ferretti, from what I've heard on ESPN and from what I've read, he seemed like he had some real skills.

The only time anyone knows the name of a long snapper is when they screw up. So thats why he wasnt a big name nationally in college football even though he was a three year starter at one of the biggest college football universities.
What I heard him say on ESPN Radio this morning was that he felt it was an honest tryout (they asked him straight up if he felt it was a stunt for the media attention).

Ohh okay as long as they gave him a fair try. I mean that for anyone it's just crappy he had a stellar record in NCAA it would of been nice to see what he produced in the NFL
