Most of us have been extremely fortunate to have had the military provide us with "free" transportation, food, and lodging to some very exciting places in the world. Some of us were literally helped to just leave the state we resided in so we could see other parts of our nation. What event, or liberty call, or weekend pass, or furlough do you best remember, where, and why?

SCPO (Join to see) When I went on leave during OIF 05-07 I went to Santorini, Greece for (7) days - here are some pictutres I took. I also spent a day in Athens, Greece, and 3 days in Rome, Italy, 2 days in Florence, Italy, and 2 days in Venice, Italy. One of the best leaves I've ever taken in my career.

I loved Rota, Spain. Was there temporarily on a lay over coming back from the middle east due to aircraft maintenance issues (fuel leak if I recall correctly). The moon was huge there over the ocean. I wish I had my camera at the time!
