Our Aviation units aren't typically authorized an 88M. Perhaps with a Transportation unit that deliveres Aviation fuel, but not directly assigned to the organization. If you really want to work in our field, I suggest you change your MOS perhaps and come over into the Aviation field. That would definitely get you into an Aviation unit! This will be important when you get your first look for Sergeant First Class. I knew many NCO's that tried to get into units to hide out because they were laid back. You want the jobs that nobody else wants, the jobs that require you to lead, the jobs that require you to be out front with Soldiers. I'm not sure where being in an aviation support unit as an 88M20 is a ticket puncher. I also recommend visiting the Education Center at Fort Hood and furthering your education if you dont have a degree.
