Is this politics in the Republican world? Rick Perry Challenges Donald Trump to a Pullup Contest

"Let's get a pullup bar out there and see who can do the most pullups,” Perry told a reporter, who told him that Trump “questioned your energy, toughness and quote-unquote, ‘brain power’ that it might require to run a successful campaign.”

How many pull-ups a candidate can do is about as relevant to their qualifications for president as their gender or skin color! Damn ... did I say that out loud?

It is for a candidate who is barely registering in the polls, and is desperate to get into the first debate.

SPC Jan Allbright, M.Sc., R.S. - I think LTC Kevin B. was referring to Rick Perry. If nothing else, watching these two outshape and out of touch guys trying to out do each other on the pull up bars could be funny to watch. Then again, Trump might just find and employ the world's best pull up man to be his stand in yet take all the credit for doing the pull ups.

Perry, Cruz and Christie have all made some odd statements of late to try to get attention, and all three are hovering near the cut line. Perry has been vocally attacking Trump in the media, and now he has issued his pull-up challenge. Cruz made his comments about releasing the names of ~500 service members whose deaths are supposedly linked directly to Iran. Christie has been talking about enforcing Federal laws to end the pot party out in Colorado and the other states that have legalized it (so much for States' rights).
