How and who do I go through to fill out the paperwork for Army Redux

Fill out DD Form 2839, Career Status Bonus (CSB) and bring to your S-1 for processing.

Although this is a 'bonus' in title, this is not processed through Retention or your Career Counselor.
CSM Michael J. Uhlig does bring up a great point...get financial advice through ACS to take the CSB or not. Many that I talk to regret taking this years later (once they've wasted the money).

Our Career Counselor is truly a SME and helps in this area, he provides sage counseling and encourages whomever is considering it to make the choice that best fits their situation. He also helps them by getting them financial advice through the ACS so they can make the best decisions (whether to take the redux plan or not.) Your Career Counselor can definitely help here.

I was sent an email from DA G1 informing me that I had the option to take the redux and I had to respond either way. I contacted my installation G-1 and told them no, and then they took care of it for me.
